soulmate/

The idea of a soulmate is intriguing.
Different people have different ideas on the person they'll spend the rest of their lives with.

He doesn't have to be ridiculously good looking, he doesn't have to be rich.
You don't necessarily have to meet him at a cafe where the coffee's slightly overpriced or at a bookstore where the air condition is too cold for your liking. Your life is not a movie, Nicholas Sparks did not write your script.

You could've met him on Facebook, where you finally replied the guy who said Hi to you in different languages over the past week. Or you could have met him because he's a friend of a friend.
Who cares how you two met? It doesn't have to be interesting. It's the journey both of you conquered together that your grandkids want to hear about.

He will have flaws. Everyone has flaws. He will accept yours and you will accept his.
He will brush his fingers over your scars and say absolutely nothing.

He won't be perfect, he will forget dates and sometimes get angry over something small but he'll still remember to make you smile.

He doesn't have to be ridiculously good looking, he doesn't have to be rich.
But he will make you happy, he will be the reason your phone rings, he will make your life worthwhile.

Singaporean, lover of words.
